Welcome to NextGenHistorians! We are a student-led organization that inspires 4th graders to explore history through art, stories, quizzes, and community contests. Together with schools, parents, and elementary school students, we're celebrating the past to shape the future!

Q: Who can participate in NextGenHistorians contests?

A: Our contests are open to 4th grade students in the Millburn-Short Hills area (and nearby communities). In the future we hope to expand to other grades!

Q: Do I need to know a lot about history to join?

A: Not at all! Our goal is to help you discover history in engaging ways. 

Q: How do I register for contests?

A: Registration will open soon right here on our website. You'll be able to submit entries and sign up through an online form.

Q: What kinds of contests will there be?

A: Categories will include art, short stories, video performances, and trivia contests - all connected to historical themes.

Q: Is there a fee to enter in contests?

A: There are $5 to $10 registration fees depending on the contest category. We will announce official fees when registration for contests open.
